Philippine holidays and long-weekend schedule for 2010
Here is the schedule of Philippine holidays and long-weekends for 2010 based on RA 9492 and Proclamation 1841:
Feb. 23, 2010 is a Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that! School holiday corrected.
ReplyDeleteDid the gov't declare jan 2, 2009 a holiday?
ReplyDeleteYes, only because it was sandwiched by January 1 (Thu) and a Saturday.
ReplyDeleteMay 1 is a saturday. Will it be moved to may 3 the monday nearest?
ReplyDeleteNo, they don't transfer the May 1 holiday because such a move will receive a howl of protests from labor groups. Remember that many workers have work on Saturdays as well. So they need this holiday to stage their annual labor marches.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ivan.
ReplyDeleteEid al-Adha has been officially declared a national holiday!!
Yes, law signed last December. Thanks!
ReplyDeletedo you think May 11, the day after elections, will be declared a special non-working day to allow voters who went out of town to come back to Manila?
ReplyDeletei hope May 11 is a holiday too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this one. ;) No more moving of holidays on a Monday.
ReplyDeleteNot quite. The moving of holidays to Mondays sticks until the law that dictates it is repealed
ReplyDeleteif these holidays were declared during the time of PGMA, is it really possible for PNoy to change aug.23 into a regular working day?
ReplyDeleteNo, unless the Holiday Economics Law is repealed.
ReplyDeleteInteresting!
